I came home to three happy sights,
1. Yoghurt Gums from Germany lying on my bed (thanks Friedi!)
2. A bowl of Ritter Sport & Haribo bears with a note saying “Help yourselves to a study treat”
3. Santa Chocolate standing on the kitchen counter
I thank God that I live with really really sweet girls.
I am also reminded that “Christmas isn’t Christmas till it happens in your heart’.

Katie celebrated her 20th last week. Friedi and I baked her an Apple & Rum cake, in line with her pirate themed party. I think the cinnamon stencil was pretty neat. ARRR.

Attention Bloggers: Check out Acobox, a 35 days old image hosting website providing free blog pictures. A quick surf through the website will assure you that Acobox is not your typical image hosting website with countless fuzzy images taken using camera-phones and typical “myspace” profile pictures featuring girls who are over enthusiastic about akward angles.
Acobox prides itself in providing bloggers with high quality images. Bloggers can also contribute to this already rich image bank by uploading their own pictures. But be forewarned, uploaded files have to pass tests as stringent these: “Images of architecture should usually be rectilinear.” & “The arrangement of the elements within the image should support depiction of the subject, not distract from it.”. I suppose that this might potentially offend some amateur users but I think that Acobox should not compromise their excellent standards. Besides, there is no shortage of good photographers who are willing to share their pictures.
The best thing is that bloggers don’t infringe on artistic licenses and copyright laws when using these pictures. The only condition is that you register your blog or website so that the good people at Acobox can track legal as well as illegal use of the images.
Hit those Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V buttons as the proverb “A picture is worth a thosand words” would advice.

Two nights ago, I found myself listening to a friend talk about the importance of drive, motivation and passion in life and how it affects relationships.
Since then, thoughts centered about “passion” have been filtering through my mind (especially when it is not preoccupied with my supermarket-list and study timelines). Not feeling particularly eloquent tonight, so I’m writing in point form. Here goes:
